We are a peer-led collective in the NC triangle providing accessible and joyful support for trans/gender diverse individuals through community. Our collective provides the community with knowledge, crowdfunding, and material support. Together, we break down barriers to accessing care, medicine, and other resources. We are individuals with a shared vision and not a formal non-profit. T4T Care Collective emerged from community assemblies held after the 2024 election, with the intention of becoming a peer-led mutual aid network of Trans and Gender Expansive individuals in central North Carolina. We have values we gather by and have been inspired by Florence Ashley’s “Trans Rules of Engagement” for our online spaces.
Since 2024, our collective has created a T4T community garden, created care groups for each other, held clothing swaps, kept each other housed, fed each other, and much more. We’re grateful to the burrow and RUMAH for providing safe, inclusive, and peer-led spaces for us to meet regularly.
